Gerontologist - ECOS Care International
Darin Weidauer, is a gerontologist, owner of ECOS Care International and retired United States Air Force officer after 22 years of service. Before becoming a gerontologist in 2014. Darin was a Professor of Aerospace Studies at Loyola Marymount University, Chief Cyber Warfare Officer for the Nevada Test and Training Range “The World’s Premier Testing and Training Battle-space”, Superintendent Heavy Equipment Operations, Pavement and Facility Manager for the United States Air Force and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Safety and Occupational Health Manager, and Natural Resource Manager. As a respected leader, Darin represented the United States Air Force in many dimensions. Darin put himself out in front of 54 colleges and universities in Southern California addressing the need for leaders. In addition, United States Congressional Representatives requested Darin by name to address open forums expressing opportunities to serve in the United States Air Force and other services. Darin received his undergraduate degrees in Business and Mathematics from Wayland Baptist University. He went on to earn a Masters in Information Systems Technology from Touro University, a second Masters in Psychology from Pepperdine University, a third Masters in Gerontology from the Davis School of Gerontology at the University of Southern California, and is currently attending Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business for his MBA and Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for his Masters in Dispute Resolution. While training to become a gerontologist, Darin became certified as a Long-term Care Ombudsman, Certified Senior Advisor and volunteered his time to help senior veterans in need at no charge.
