  5. What is OSA Deploy Digital POR (DPOR)?

Slide 5 - What is OSA Deploy Digital POR (DPOR)?

    • OSA Partner of Record (existing)
    • Digital Partner of Record (new)
    • Paper-based form
    • Highly manual
    • Available on MPN portal
    • Online capability
    • Automated process
    • Available within customer’s management portal
    • Applies to Office 365, Windows Intune, Microsoft CRM Dynamics Online, and EMS products sold through EA (Enterprise Agreement) or CASA (Campus Agreement/School Agreement) only – Azure Digital POR is a separate capability
    • Digital POR has benefits the customer, the partner, and Microsoft
    • Partner—Why to be added
    • Benefits from Microsoft: Partner can access benefits from Microsoft including incentives and credit toward cloud competency attainment
    • Increased service visibility: Get notification of changes to the service (outages or support tickets raised)
    • Rightsizing of licensing: Access to subscription management and customer’s performance and usage data
    • Microsoft—How the transition is an improvement
    • Scalability: Not using a manual, paper-based form increases ability to scale partner ecosystem
    • Faster data connections: Instant association of Partner A with Customer B
    • Customer benefits: Faster customer response
    • Increased compliance: More accurate POR identification
    • Customer—Why to add a Partner
    • Proactive notification and maintenance: Customer gets customized notifications on system status. The partner will be able to manage technical updates from Microsoft so the customer can focus on their core business.
    • Rightsizing of licensing: With the knowledge of the customer's business, the partner can help figure out how best to utilize/maximize the organizations licenses to increase productivity.
    • DPOR is the movement away from a manual, paper-based form to an automated, online capability—which is the input that ties the OSA Deploy Partner to the Customer and their Services.
  6. DPOR Impact to Incentives?

Slide 6 - DPOR Impact to Incentives?

    • Customer subscription
    • March, 2015
    • Oct. 1, 2014
    • 60 Days after Digital POR go-live
    • 5. OSA forms continue as valid attach method
    • 4. If an OSA form is received after a Digital POR is attached, incentives will only be paid to the Digital POR
    • 6. OSA forms will no longer be an accepted attach method for the Deploy incentives
    • 1. Deploy, Manage, and Accelerator paid on assigned seats
    • 2. OSA partner will continue to be paid, unless a Digital POR is attached
    • 3. The last Digital POR attached to a subscription will earn incentives if they pass POE
    • As a Digital Partner of Record becomes assigned to a Customer’s subscription, the Advisor Online Deploy incentive will be rewarded to that Partner of Record, for that Customer’s subscription.
  7. Support Paths for Online Channel Incentives Queries

Slide 7 - Support Paths for Online Channel Incentives Queries

    • All Online Channel Incentive queries are submitted via email to the relevant Microsoft Online Partner Operations-Incentives Support team.
    • NOTE: for payment queries, support teams can liaise only with the Primary Partner Contact (PPC) per MPN Profile.

Slide 8 - The Partner must be designated as the Deployment Partner of Record in order to be eligible to earn (the POR can be different than the Active Channel Partner).

    • To be paid incentives the Partner needs to become the Partner of Record, a Partner and customer must complete the online process for all products sold: Office 365, CRMOL, Windows Intune & EMS Subscriptions
    • The online process—Digital Partner of Record (DPOR)—is completed using the product-specific Microsoft Online Portal (MOP) (https://login.microsoftonline.com)
    • O356 & CRMOL can be attached in the Office Customer Portal (https://portal.office.com/Admin/Default.aspx#Billing)
    • Intune and EMS can be attached in the Intune Account Portal (https://account.manage.microsoft.com)
    • A customer may designate one Partner as their Service Advisor per product type and subscription
    • Once the Partner has been associated as the OSA Deploy POR and the deployment of Online Services has occurred, a Partner may begin earning incentives (See 90 Day Rule in Policies Module)
    • A customer can add a Partner as their Deployment POR at the time of signing the EA, or EES, or CASA or at a later date, however the Partner may earn incentives only after the POR has been assigned
    • A customer may also choose to change their OSA Deploy Partner of Record
    • Please note: The process for adding the Partner of Record using the Microsoft Online Portal is very similar for both O365 / CRMOL (which uses the Office
    • Customer Portal) and Windows Intune & EMS Subscriptions (which uses the Intune Account Portal). The primary example we use in this deck is using
    • the Office Customer Portal. We have also included screenshots of the Intune Account Portal to demonstrate the similarities between the two.
