• The first step is to write down your equation.
• Y= -3 (x+1)

• Next, Make a X & Y chart.

• If the number in parenthesis is a negative or positive, you do the opposite of that number and put that opposite number on the x side of the table. (For example)

• After that you can put any numbers you would like in the x and y chart but it can’t be too big of a number.
