    • Today I will be teaching you how to work with powers. The reason this is important, is because we use powers (bases and exponents) in math a lot. The reason we use them in math is because it is much easier to deal with a small number (or base) with an exponent than a large number instead. There aren’t really any uses for bases and exponents in an average everyday life.

    • Base: Number being multiplied.
    • Exponent: It tells how many times the base will be multiplied by.

    • Today we have learned about powers, or bases and exponents. It’s important to use these in math because they can be used in various fashions to make a problem more understandable. They are also important in the way of reducing the size of a larger number (ex. 1000 = 10^3). By understanding the uses and learning the rules of bases and exponents, you’ll become a better mathematician in this field of expertise.
