1. ### Slide 1 - 1.6 Linear Inequations

• What are linear inequations?
• How do we solve them?
• Some practice
2. ### Slide 2 - 1.6 Linear Inequations

• What are linear inequations?
• Linear inequations are equations that shows a relationship that isn’t equal. Instead, we talk about being greater, or less than etc.
• We use the following signs:
• Sign
• Meaning
• “is less than”
• “is less than or equal to”
• “is equal to”
• “is not equal to”
• “is greater than or equal to”
• “is greater than”

3. ### Slide 3 - 1.6 Linear Inequations

• How do we solve them?
• To solve them, we use the exact same skills that we did with linear equations.
• EXCEPT, when we multiply/divide with a negative number, we swap the direction of the signs.
