  1. Talking about your family in detail

Slide 1 - Talking about your family in detail

    • Flipped classroom support for JBlog textbook 1 Chapter 1 – 3 putting it altogether
  2. Putting it altogether

Slide 2 - Putting it altogether

    • You have learned to say several things about yourself in chapters 1 – 3 of Jblog textbook 1. In this presentation, we are going to put it altogether and then challenge you to elicit specific detail in each of the texts.
    • You should use this opportunity to discover your own strengths & areas for improvement. For example some of you may be confident on the regular dates, but still struggle with the dates that have a special pronunciation.
    • As this is a common issue for learners, we have included the dates song again on the next slide. Watch it again before you start the challenges.

    Slide 4 - Scaffold texts

    • The following slides provide a scaffold for you to write your own texts about each of your family members.
    • They all follow the same pattern, so after the first slide, it should become easier to locate the information.
    • We have included the page references where the material was introduced in Jblog textbook 1. You can quickly check these pages if you are struggling with a particular aspect of the text.

    • You may also need to use counters for people if you have more than one sibling of the same type eg two older sisters あね 二人.
    • Remember you just put the people counter after the family member.
